AK-47

I sent a good friend of mine from business school (Brendan Burke) the link to the blog thinking he might like to follow the story. Brendan immediately emailed me saying he would like to do something for Sergey. Brendan happens to be the Director of Marketing and New Media for the Utah Jazz. I let him know that Sergey is a HUGE Andrei Kirilenko (AK-47) fan who also happens to be from Russia. Well when we made it to Utah Brendan had a surprise waiting for Sergey:

Signed Andrei Kirilenko Shoe and Picture
Utah Jazz basketball, blanket, bag, note pad, and year book
A personal note saying if he visited during the season he could go to a game

When Sergey saw all of these things he could hardly contain himself he was so excited. He now had autographs from two of his American heroes, Martin Prado and Andrei Kirilenko. Just like with his autographed baseball he kissed the shoe and picture and made Ashley and I do the same. It is so much fun having a kid that appreciates everything you do for him this much!

Thank you Brendan and the Utah Jazz for caring enough to make Sergey's trip that much more exciting. He would have loved anything you gave him but you went out of your way and gave him more than he could have asked for.
